Balochistan Agriculture College, Quetta was established in October 1986 to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in agriculture. Since its establishment, the college has produced over 1,300 graduates across various agricultural disciplines who have contributed to research, education, extension services, and sustainable agricultural development at both provincial and national levels. The college operates under the supervision of the Government of Balochistan’s Agriculture & Co-operatives Department and is academically affiliated with the University of Balochistan. It offers recognized degree programs including B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and M.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, continuing its commitment to quality education, research, and regional agricultural development.
Capacity and Student Enrollment
To ensure quality education and high academic standards, the college limits its annual intake to approximately 200 students. This controlled enrollment promotes focused learning, close faculty–student interaction, and a balanced approach to theoretical knowledge and practical training aligned with modern agricultural needs.
Infrastructure and Academic Facilities
The college is equipped with modern laboratories, a well-stocked library, and advanced academic facilities that support teaching and research. These resources are strengthened by a highly qualified and experienced faculty committed to academic excellence, with continuous upgrades to facilities in line with emerging technologies.
Research Collaboration and Practical Training
Balochistan Agriculture College maintains strong collaborative links with national research institutions to enhance practical learning. Through field-based research in deciduous fruits, field crops, and arid-zone agriculture, students gain hands-on experience in modern research methods and sustainable agricultural practices.
