Department of Entomology

Introduction:

Balochistan Agriculture College (BAC), Quetta was established in the premises of Agriculture Training Institute (ATI), Quetta in October, 1987.Since the inception of B.A.C in 1987 the Department of Entomology has the credit of being one of the pioneer departments to initiate specialization in the field of Entomology. Mr. Muhammad Waseem has the privilege to serve as First Head of Department.

Mission

  • To generate knowledgeable, capable and competent manpower being capable to sort out solution for any impediments faced by Agriculture sector of the province at present and in future regarding Insect Pest Issues.
  • To achieve highest standards of teaching and research related to Insect Pests and disseminate this knowledge to farmers.
  • To encourage innovative minds for dedication towards research activities in vast field of Entomology. To create awareness among young Entomologists about issues in future that may hinder expected yield in Agriculture related to Insect Pest Issues.
