Project Title:

Evaluation of Sustainable Soil and Crop Management Practices to Combat Land Degradation in Balochistan.  (NR-114).

Progress:

·         25 soil samples were collected under diverse land management practices in upland of Balochistan, analyzed and reported for different soil properties.

·         One day national seminar was arranged and conducted with collaboration of ALP provided funds on “Land degradation in Balochistan: A serious threat to Environment and food Security” at press club Quetta during October, 2018.

·         Installed proposed treatments and experiment is under observation at the field area in Bostan.

·         Celebrated world Soil Day 5th December, 2018 with the sponsored of ALP Project.

·         Three M.Sc. (Hons) student research works is under progress with the support of on-going project.

·         Students of specializations classes also taking benifit from this project.

 

PROJECT NO. 02

Project Title:

Prediction of Sustainable Soil and Crop Management Practices Under Climate Change Scenarios in Upland of Balochistan (NO. 939).

Punjab Agriculture Research Board (PARB) and University of Agriculture Faisalabad.

Progress:

·         Two year field experiment is near to be completion under different soil and crop management practices at Balochistan Agriculture College Quetta. 

·         Results of the experiment have been continuously presented by PI at international/national conferences.

·         From the experiment two research articles have been published in international/ national repute journal.

·         One student of M. Sc (Hons) has awarded/completed his research work and two other students are under progress with the support of on-going project.

·         Students of specializations classes also taking benefit from this project.
